The purpose of McCarthy Family Law is not to provide a ‘one-solution-fits-all’ approach, but to ensure the most appropriate, safe, and cost-effective solutions are offered and delivered to all clients depending upon the nature of their family law enquiry.
In some situations, we are able to offer a set price to clients, especially in a situation where clients are able to negotiate a resolution to their Parenting or Property matter following mediation. These clients may simply require some additional advice before the agreement is finalised then documented and drafted into Orders by Consent, for peace of mind and enforceability if ever required.

Where a Parenting or Property matter needs to proceed to court, our negotiations with the other party through their legal representation will continue at all times in an attempt to settle the matter, when appropriate.
We believe that empowering clients to have control over the resolution of their matter helps them to remain focused on the important things in their lives, like their children, their career, and their home as they navigate through the emotional journey of separation.

We have decades of experience between us within Family Law. We understand the emotional and financial implications going through a separation and divorce brings. For some of us, this has been our personal experience too.

Ebony Barrett
Senior Paralegal
Ebony is a fourth-year law student achieving fantastic results. Ebony finished secondary schooling at St Theresa’s College, Noosa. Ebony performs efficiently as a paralegal. When Ebony is not in the offices she is attending her lectures in person or enjoying the Coast with her partner.
Duncan Cox
Legal Assistant
Duncan is a fourth-year law student graduating this year. He also holds a degree in sound engineering. Duncan’s interests lie in the protection of children and humanitarian affairs. He is undertaking mediation as another skill and is currently undergoing NMAS accreditation processes. Duncan seeks to learn the ropes of a legal office and, in time, bring another perspective to McCarthy Family Law.
Bronwyn Tattersall
Legal Assistant
Bronwyn has extensive experience as a Legal Secretary and has been working as a Legal and Probate Secretary in New South Wales. Bronwyn works with us casually and looks forward to supporting our office, staff, and clients.
Caterine Molini
Paralegal
Caterine Molini joins our team as a Paralegal. She has worked as a lawyer in Brazil for 10 years before moving to Australia. Caterine brings her previous experience within insurance and finance law, and is currently looking forward to gaining experience in a family law firm while seeking admission to practice as a lawyer in Queensland. Caterine uses her professionalism and integrity to assist the office with administrative and paralegal matters and provides clients with quality assistance.
Allison Hauritz
Accounts Manager
Allison is a qualified Accountant with extensive experience in managing accounts and office operations. She will ensure all your payment and account queries are followed up quickly and professionally.
Eleese Tasker
Receptionist
Eleese is our part-time Receptionist and will happily be directing your calls, and greeting you when you visit our office.
Marian Connolly
Receptionist
Marian job shares with Eleese. She is a delightful addition to our team. Whether over the phone or in person, Marian will efficiently assist and support you in connecting with our team.
